June 5th, 2015- Assorted computer issues have kept me from doing a new countries check during these past months but I was finally able to do that today.  We've had three news additions: Jamaica, the Solomon Islands, and New Caledonia!


October 12th- Wow!  Four more countries have been added to our map: the Northern Mariana Islands, Iceland, the Dominican Republic, and the Maldives.


September 14th- With the addition of Angola, we've now hit a milestone of 120 countries stopping by! 


July 27th- Zambia and Botswana have now been added to our Map of Visitors!

Also, we've learned that Season 1 of Tour of Duty is getting re-released on DVD.  John Dye only appeared in Season 3 but hopefully this means that and Season 2 will be available.  You can read about it here.


May 10th- Guinea and Jordan have been added to our Map of Visitors!  117 countries/regions have stopped by!


February 16th- We hope everyone had a nice Valentine's Day!  Since our last update to this page, we've had visitors from Armenia, Lebanon, and Mauritius!


January 4th, 2014- Nepal has been added to our Map of Visitors!


December 8th- Greetings to our visitors from Malawi and Tunisia!  110 countries are now represented on our Map of Visitors!

September 22nd- We've had our first visitors from Zimbabwe meaning 108 countries have visited the site.  :-)

Also, just a note that touched.com has now changed to www.atouchofencouragement.com so you may need to update your bookmarks.  Looks like a TBAA episode guide will be forthcoming.


September 15th- Welcome to our Bermudian visitors!


September 8th- Our site has now been visited by folks in 106 countries, most recently Yemen and Madagascar.  Welcome!


August 24th- Great news!!!  TBAA's ninth and final season is headed to DVD on November 19th.  Just in time for the holidays!  As always, we have a countdown for you here.


August 11th- We can now add Nicaragua to our list of countries who have visited the PIF site.  :-)  Also, we hope you're enjoying the TBAA Season 8 DVDs that were just released.  If the any of those episodes have inspired ideas on how you can pay it forward, we'd love to know so we can add them to the Season 8 section of Your Community.  Also, keep praying that Season 9 is on its way!

July 21st- We welcome our first visitor from Tanzania!

June 23rd- Welcome to our visitors from Macedonia and Bahrain!  Our site has now been visited by 102 countries/regions!  :-)

Also, the Gospel Music Channel is now known as Up TV.  But don't worry!  Those with the channel can still catch TBAA on weekdays at 7 & 8 pm Eastern.


April 29th- We had our first visitors from Malta!  Also...

April 21st- We'd like to welcome our visitors from Namibia and from Trinidad and Tobago.  Glad to have you.  :-)

We're now only two days away from the DVD release.  Please check out Your Community for RAOK ideas inspired by TBAA's Season 7.

Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with the communities of Boston and West, TX.  May they find healing and peace in the coming days and know that so many are holding them close in their hearts.

April 7th- Welcome to our first visitors from Cameroon!  We're so excited to watched our map turn more and more green!


March 9th- Happy day!  At long last the Pay It Forward in Memory of John Dye Community has made its way to our new home!  After two years at Facebook, we have moved to an interactive blog hosted right here on our web site.  To protect members' security, the PIF Community is not visible on the site, however.  If you'd like to join us, please email Cindy and Jenni at admin@payitforwardinmemoryofjohndye.net.  Our new home will offer the same things you may have experienced at the former Facebook group: a chance to pray for others and share your own prayer needs, brainstorming together about ways to pay it forward, and reflecting with each other on John's legacy of compassion.  We hope the new Community will offer members a more secure and safe place to share.  And it doesn't have ads!  :-)


February 17th- We've had visits from Panama!  The map has been updated to show the addition of our 94th country to visit.  :-)

Also, we've added text only versions of the leave behind cards for those who wants to conserve ink. 


February 10th- Welcome to our Ecuadorian visitors!  Ecuador is now the 93rd country on our map.


January 28th- We've made and exceeded our "50 Hours for 50 Years" goal!  And we're still counting!  Thank you to everyone who has been performing RAOKs in John's honor.


January 24th- Happy news!  TBAA's 7th season is coming to DVD on April 23!  You can follow a countdown on Other Links. 


January 15th- We've now had a visitor from Suriname so our map is getting greener! 

We also have a beautiful new logo!  You can see the full version of it on our index page.  In addition, leave behind cards and other materials have been updated to display the new logo.  Big thanks to Elaine for providing it!


January 6th- We've added 2013's birthday tribute page for John.  Please visit it here and join us in our 50 Hours for 50 Years challenge.  Thanks!

January 1st, 2013- January 31st will mark 50 years since John’s birth. John liked to celebrate his birthday and we want to celebrate it, too, by showing just how much his time on earth means to us by giving *our* time to others!  Let's make it *count*!  To honor him and the time he spent helping people and bringing them peace and joy, we ask each of you to send us the amount of time you spend doing RAOKs and volunteer work throughout this month.

Our goal is 50 collective hours of time during the month of January.  In other words:

~ walking a neighbor's dog
~ writing and sending an encouraging letter or email
~ volunteering at a local charity
~ cooking or crafting something for someone
~ setting aside a time of prayer for others

From posting an encouraging statement on your Facebook status which takes just a minute, to house-sitting for someone over an entire weekend, the list is endless and it all counts.

With over 100 members on the PIF page, we should have no trouble reaching 50 hours total by John's birthday.  We all do a lot that we don't realize and often we don't realize how it adds up.  You can post on the fb page or email us at the admin account or even use the anon link.  Jenni and Cindy will keep a tally going and keep you updated and then add this to a birthday tribute page on the website.

We will also welcome any ideas of things to do and ways to volunteer our time...with people's physical limitations and weather difficulties, ideas for those who are unable to get out and about easily would be especially helpful.

Also, don't forget the 12 RAOKs of Christmas. If you work on that challenge this week, that time will count as well!

John made his time on earth count so as we celebrate his 50th birthday this month, make YOUR time count.

Happy Birthday, John, we are glad you were born!  We love you!


December 23rd- Merry Christmas and happy holidays!!!  We're pleased to report that 90 countries have now visited the PIF site with Bangladesh and Estonia as the latest additions.  Very cool!  Thank you to all who visit and make the commitment to honor John by paying it forward.


December 2nd- Join us in our latest challenge!  Celebrate the 12 RAOKs of Christmas with us.  :-)  The guidelines for this challenge are these: none, except it has to equal 12 and has to be done by Christmas-or maybe New Year's or even Epiphany. You can do 12 separate things, 12 days worth of things, do one thing 12 times, or bake 12 cupcakes! Whatever you'd like to do, just get to RAOKing!  Be sure to check out the Community page for ideas.

Also, welcome to Luxembourg and Sri Lanka... the latest countries to stop on by and visit the site!

November 25th- For the first time since we started keeping track, we had first-time visits from 4 different countries: Costa Rica, Libya, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Vietnam.  Amazing!  You can visit the PIF map here.

October 29th- With the additions of St. Kitts and Nevis and Paraguay, we can now say that people from over 80 different countries have visited the site.  John certainly made and continues to make an impact all over the world!


October 14th, 2012- The Pay It Forward in Memory of John Dye web site turns a year old on October 15th!  In honor of the occasion, some of us will be taking to the For John page to share what PIF's first year has meant to us and how John's life continues to inspire us.  It would be wonderful if others would join us in sharing about what John means to them and their hopes for continuing to pay it forward for John as we enter our second year of honoring his legacy of compassion together.  If you'd like to have a tribute added to For John, please email us at admin@payitforwardinmemoryofjohndye.net.  Thanks!
